A three-day weekend means an extra day to stay parked in front of WoW regardless of how nice it outside. Well, not quite. Saturday was spent raiding and Sunday was spent questing. On Monday I did get out and enjoy the nice weather. The highlights:
Cowsley
Through sheer luck Cowsley was able to get into the Saturday Karazhan run. It was a fairly quick full clear. I was able to get a pair of Earthsoul Leggings to add to my healing set. The group was really good and I spent the majority of the run trying to work out a decent Boomkin spell rotation. I had read that you should maintain both Insect Swarm and Moonfire and use either Wrath or Starfire as filler. In the end I wasn’t totally satisfied by the numbers I was seeing and will need to do a little more research and testing to find a rotation that I like. I only need about 20 more badges to get a pair of Moon-walkers to replace my Shattrath Jumpers.
Soulglowe
After the Karazhan raid I logged back over to Alliance just in time to get Soulglowe in on some heroic dungeon runs. The group was really good and we ran The Mechanar, Underbog, Slave Pens and The Botanica. Soulglowe’s Demonology spec is working out really well. There were a few places where I wasn’t paying attention to my Felguard’s health and he died. Fortunately this doesn’t cause him to get all crabby like a hunter’s pet would. Overall I’m pleased, but I think Soulglowe is going to be parked for a while. I’m having more fun playing the Shadow Priest and given that both Soulglowe and Glynia need the same boost in gearing and reputation I’m going to defer to the Shadow Priest for a while.
Glynia
Glynia is now a real Shadow Priest. I changed her tailoring spec from Primal Mooncloth to Shadoweave. This is after I found myself Googling for instructions on how to respect your tailoring specialzization*. Thanks to a donation of 700g from my Elemental Shaman I have now crafted the Shadoweave Shoulders and Shadoweave Boots. This week my goal is to complete the Shadoweave Robe and Spellstrike Hood. If I’m feeling really outgoing I may try and get a Belt of Blasting crafted as well.
*To unlearn your tailoring specialization you talk to the trainer for your current specialization. For a modest fee of 120g they’ll release you from their ranks. You can then respect for another 20g. You don’t even have to do the quest.
Thelys
Somewhere in between shuffling through my different 70s I found an hour or two to get my Paladin from 50 to 51. It has been quite a while since I played this character regularly and the first order of business is to remember where I left off. I think it was in Felwood, but I can’t really remember. Thelys is already specced prot so I might try to PuG some dungeon runs to get a level or two.
Shaman
There wasn’t a lot of shaman love this weekend. Tubes went totally unplayed and Glyndia’s funds were plundered to buy a fancy Shadow DPS set. Somehow I didn’t even find time to get Glyndia her last 4k SSO rep for Exalted.
